QUR’ANIC SPATIAL & POSITIONAL ANALYSIS

Mapping text.
Exploring space.

Q-SPACE is an experimental computational research project designed to investigate whether structured positional information within the Qur’anic text can be transformed into reproducible geographic models.

The project separates textual coordinates, experimental transformation, and real-world geography so that every hypothesis can be tested, compared, rejected, refined, or reproduced.

A research environment for hypotheses that connect textual structure, mathematical transformation and geographic position — without assuming the conclusion in advance.

01 — RESEARCH

Two research directions.
One common question: position.

The project began from two independent lines of inquiry. The first asks whether the Qur’anic text can be represented as a coordinate space and projected toward geography. The second asks whether exceptional displacement may depend not only on velocity, but also on where a living being is located and from which reference frame motion is measured.

Q → T → G

Qur’anic Positioning

This research treats the text as a structured coordinate environment. Surah, ayah, word, character, recurrence, numeric value and relative distance can become variables inside a Qur’anic Coordinate System — QCS.

Those variables are not assumed to be geographic coordinates. They pass first through an Experimental Projection System, where different transformations can be tested without forcing the model to use a conventional map projection.

Q → T → G
II
MOTION / REFERENCE FRAME

Spatial Motion

The second research direction examines very rapid displacement as a mathematical problem involving distance, time, acceleration, reference frames and geographic position.

Current physics is used as an essential reference and constraint set, but the investigation does not stop simply because a conventional human body cannot presently achieve a calculated speed. Instead, the model asks which assumptions would have to change for the displacement to remain coherent.

P + D + T + R → Motion model
Q-SPACE CORE

Three spaces, kept deliberately separate.

This separation is essential. Q contains the textual structure. T contains the experimental mathematics. G contains real geographic references used for comparison and validation.

Q

QCS

Qur’anic Coordinate System. The source space: surah, ayah, token, letter, recurrence, numeric systems and textual distances.

→
T

EPS

Experimental Projection System. The laboratory space where projection families, coefficients, normalization rules and custom transformations are tested.

→
G

GR

Geographic Reference. Real coordinates, geodesic distances, known historical locations and the validation layer used only after a model produces a result.

02 — RESEARCH FRAMEWORK
ESSENTIAL RESEARCH BOUNDARY

Experimental research,
not religious authority.

This boundary applies to every model, experiment, result and publication produced by Q-SPACE.

NOT TAFSIR NOT A FATWA NOT HALAL / HARAM AUTHORITY
Q-SPACE · 02

Q-SPACE is an exploratory mathematical, geographic and scientific research project examining structures and narratives mentioned in the Qur’an. It is not Tafsir, not a Fatwa, not a determination of Halal or Haram, and does not claim to establish a new religious interpretation.

The models, equations, projections, datasets and hypotheses presented here are human constructions designed to be tested, corrected or rejected. The Qur’an and authentically established teachings of the Prophet ﷺ are not subject to validation by our models; our models are the part that may be wrong.

If a result obtained during this research appears incompatible with an explicit Qur’anic statement or an authentically established Prophetic teaching, that result must not be used to contest the religious source. Within this research framework, it means that one or more assumptions, data choices, calculations, transformations or interpretations in the model must be re-examined.

Intermediate results, simulations and experimental hypotheses must not be removed from their research context or presented as theological conclusions. Negative results and contradictions are preserved as part of the scientific record because they help identify where the model failed.

CORE PRINCIPLE The model is tested against the source. The source is not rewritten to protect the model.
03 — METHODOLOGY

A model must be able to fail.

The goal is not to search until a desired coordinate appears. Q-SPACE is designed around reproducibility, blind validation and explicit model versioning.

01

Freeze the data

Define the exact Qur’anic text edition, tokenization rules, orthography, basmala treatment, numeric scheme and all preprocessing before evaluating a model.

02

Freeze the model

A formula is versioned with its parameters. Once a test begins, the model is not silently adjusted to move the result closer to the expected location.

03

Use known points carefully

Known locations can be used for calibration, but separate locations must remain outside calibration so that the model can be evaluated on data it did not use to fit itself.

04

Measure geodesic error

A calculated location is compared with the geographic reference using measurable distance and uncertainty, not visual similarity on a map.

05

Keep negative results

Failed experiments are preserved. A model that does not generalize is part of the research record instead of disappearing from it.

06

Blind validation

Where possible, the real coordinate is hidden until the experimental model has generated and locked its own result.

04 — RESULTS

Publish the experiment,
not only the conclusion.

Every published experiment is intended to include enough metadata to understand how the result was produced and whether it can be reproduced.

05 — NEXT

The first objective is not a discovery.
It is a reliable laboratory.

Before testing geographic claims, the platform must establish a structured Qur’anic corpus, a versioned QCS engine, configurable transformations, map-independent projections and reproducible experiment records.
